
Highlanders Fall Short Against Idaho in 80-68 Loss

MOSCOW, Idaho — Despite a strong second-half rally, the UC Riverside Highlanders couldn't overcome a double-digit halftime deficit, falling 80-68 to Idaho on Saturday afternoon at the ICCU Arena.

- Isaiah Moses led the Highlanders (4-4) with 13 points and three assists, while Barrington Hargress added 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Kaleb Smith contributed 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. UC Riverside shot 43.9% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc but struggled to capitalize on second-chance opportunities.
- The Vandals established control early, taking a 39-27 lead into halftime behind a balanced offensive attack and 47.5% shooting for the game. UC Riverside closed the gap in the second half, but couldn't mount a sustained comeback. Idaho's 13 made three-pointers and 17 second-chance points proved decisive.
- The Highlanders' bench contributed 22 points, led by Parker Strauss with eight points and two 3-pointers. UC Riverside also forced eight turnovers, turning them into 10 points, but struggled to contain Idaho's perimeter shooting.
- The Highlanders compete in the Big West Bold Week next week as they take on CSUN on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00pm in Northridge.
