Men’s Golf Finishes First 18 Holes in Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, Calif. - UC Riverside men's golf teed off on the 2024 spring season on Tuesday in Palm Desert with day one of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Josh Hu is the leading Highlander in the clubhouse after shooting a 73 (+1) with a birdie on eight. The senior posted a nearly clean card with the exception of bogeys on seven and 16 in addition to the birdie.
- Chanhee Ryu also littered his scorecard with pars and shot a 76 (+4).
- Kamaljit Singh overcame a slow start and finished strong with pars on eight of his final nine holes.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Hu and Ryu combined for 30 pars between the two of them.
- Mark Gao put up a strong start for his 2024 spring after being 2-under through seven holes. Gao was +1 at the turn, second only to Hu's even par at the turn.
