RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside (10-21, 4-7 Big West) brought the dramatics to Amy S. Harrison Field in its return to the Inland Empire on Saturday, sweeping UC Davis (12-20, 3-8 Big West) with 3-1 and 3-2 wins over the Aggies.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Nadia Witt led off the sixth with a double and UCR soon put runners 60 and 120 feet from home after a single and steal of second
- Kat Montuya drove Witt in with a single and came home along with Garewal on a Gigi Araki double.
- Montuya belted her fifth home run of the year and second of Big West play to tie game two at one apiece in the third inning.
- UCR entered the bottom of the seventh down a run but put together a two-out rally. Elise Nishimura delivered the game-winning hit in the form of a two-run single that gave UCR the doubleheader sweep.
