Rocha and Koniarsky Earn Second Team All-Big West Honors

This week, the Big West announced its all-conference teams for the 2024 baseball season.

The league's 11 head coaches voted Bubba Rocha and Cole Koniarsky to the Second Team for their successful seasons.Â
Rocha and Koniarsky's offense helped bring the Highlanders batting average to sixth in the conference for the year.
Rocha finished the season ranked eighth individually for hitting in the Big West. He hit .358 and .898 OPS, with ten doubles and 22 RBI this season. Rocha has consistently been one of the Highlanders' most prolific offensive producers on the season, ranking in the top five on the team in batting, slugging, runs scored, hits, RBI, doubles, total bases and walks.Â
Koniarsky landed seventh in the Big West for hitting, with his .361 batting average and .882 OPS. He had 13 doubles, two triples, two homeruns and 31 RBI in 2024. Koniarsky became the sixth Highlander since 2012 with a 25-game on-base streak.
