RIVERSIDE, Calif.- The Highlanders opened the season with a pair of matches against Nebraska today at the SRC Tennis Courts. For both teams this was the first match of the season. This was the second and third time that these two teams met, with Nebraska holding a 1-0 all-time lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the morning session, the Highlanders fell 4-0. It started with Nebraska taking the doubles point, 2-0. 
• Freshman Ramey Yu made her Highlander debut pairing up with Olivia McIntosh-Adams in the morning doubles match and then in a singles match right after. Her singles match went unfinished, but she led the second set, 3-1 after dropping the first, 5-7.
• Crystal Kim and Kei Kato won a set each in the morning session singles matches, but ended unfinished when Nebraska secured the win.
• In the second session, the Huskers took the doubles point, winning 2-0.
• Sam Condevillamar made her Highlander debut in the second session.
• Freshman Chloe Vu made her debut for the Highlanders playing in both sessions, competing in doubles and singles.

• It will be an early one next Tuesday, January 21, as the San Jose State Spartans come to town. Match starts at 9:30 a.m.
