RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Highlanders returned to action this afternoon as they welcomed Hawai'i to the SRC. It was the conference opener for the Highlanders and for the Rainbow Wahine it was their second match, they topped CSUN 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The doubles point went to UH, with the pairing of Kei Kato and Ramey Yu taking the lone Highlanders' win. They won their match 6-4.
• In singles competition, Yu was the only Highlander to win her match. It was a three set win: 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6). Yu has been on a roll for singles play This win marked her fifth straight singles win and she now has an overall singles record of 5-1, with one match going unfinished.
• Niki Shahbazi fought hard, but fell in three sets: 1-6, 6-3, 3-6.

• The Highlanders are back at it tomorrow afternoon for a 2PM conference match against UC Irvine at the SRC Tennis Courts.
