CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – In the second day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, the UC Riverside Highlanders found a tough opponent in Nevada, falling 13-0.
The Highlanders showed resilience at the plate, collecting five hits, with
Mariana Palazuelos,
Eta Lauti,
Rebeca Cabezas,
Jen Ragay, and
Isabel McElroy each contributing to the offensive effort. Lauti continued to find ways on base, while Cabezas remained steady in the lineup.
Defensively, UC Riverside made key outs to limit Nevada's momentum in the second and third innings, with solid plays coming from the infield.
