
UC Riverside Closes Strong to Take Down Hawai’i on the Road

HONOLULU, Hawai'i — UC Riverside used a dominant second-half shooting performance and clutch free-throw shooting to earn an 82-76 victory over Hawai'i on Thursday night at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Highlanders improved to 19-11 overall and 12-6 in Big West play.

- Barrington Hargress led the way with a game-high 25 points, shooting 9-for-19 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line, while adding four rebounds and two assists.
- Isaiah Moses and Kaleb Smith each contributed 14 points, with both knocking down two three pointers each.
- Nate Pickens added nine points and four rebounds.
- UC Riverside trailed 36-35 at halftime but responded with a strong second half, shooting 56.5% from the field and 85% from the free-throw line to pull away late.
- Back to back three pointers hit by Smith and Moses gave the Highlanders a nine point lead with 10 minutes left in the game.
