RIVERSIDE, Calif.-Â The Highlanders returned to action at the SRC Tennis Courts this morning against Hope International University. A match that was supposed to start at 10:00 a.m., was delayed over an hour due to rain earlier in the morning. UCR won their first match of the year, 7-0. UCR looked to have the match under control from the start.Â

- The Highlanders secure the first point of the day, earning the doubles victory. All three doubles matches were played and UCR swept: 6-3, 6-2, 6-1.
- Lucas Ibarrondo Suarez took his match 6-0, 6-1.Â
- Justin Lamy had a solid match, winning 6-0, 6-2.
- Lucas Msyca won his match 6-2, 6-1. Â
- "A much needed win for out team that will boost our confidence on our upcoming extended home stretch. [I] felt the guys bounced back very well after yesterday."
