RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Game two of the three game set with the Tritons ended with an 11-0 loss. The Highlanders looked to bounce back from last night's 7-3 loss, but the bats were quieted tonight. This was the first time all season that UCR was shut out.
The Highlanders sent
Kurt Marton to the mound, who went three innings and gave up six runs. He took the loss and fell to 1-4 on the year. In total the Highlanders used six pitchers tonight. The other five runs came off of
Brent Godina in his one inning of work.
Offensively, the Highlanders got five his with
Manoah Chapman and
David Gibbs each getting two. The fifth hit came from Josh Torres, who came in to play third base late in the game.
