RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Highlanders opened up conference play this afternoon with Cal State Fullerton. For the Titans, this was their first match of the season as UCR had three matches under their belts.
Cal State Fullerton took the match, 5-2.
How it happened:
- The Titans secured the doubles point, 2-0. Sam Condevillamar and Kaia Paulo both made their season debuts for UCR. It was also, Paulo's debut as a Highlander. The match with Kei Kato and Ramey Yu went unfinished.
- In singles competition, Kato won her match in three sets over Seha Yu: 6-3, 1-6, 6-3. This was her second singles match win of the year.
- Camile Li won her first career match as a Highlander in straight sets: 6-3, 6-4.
Up next for the Highlanders is Long Beach State. That match is on Friday with first serve at 11AM.
