In the fourth inning, the Highlanders cut down a runner at third on a heads-up sequence from second baseman Taylor Wren, first baseman Arianna Saldivar, catcher Jackie Alday and third baseman Leilani Juan.
UC Davis scored once in the second inning, added two runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to secure the win.
The Highlanders are on the road next weekend as they face Cal State Bakersfield for a series that begins Friday, April 25th with first pitch set for 12 p.m. in Bakersfield.
