RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside men's basketball will be represented by three former Highlanders at the 2026 NBA Summer League, as Zyon Pullin, Flynn Cameron and Lachlan Olbrich continue their professional basketball journeys on one of the sport's top offseason stages.
"UCR basketball has shown an ability to recruit and develop NBA caliber players and this year's summer league is a great example," said coach Gus Argenal. "We are rooting for the former Highlanders to keep living their dream of playing at the highest level and we know there is continued success in their future. All three have made a lasting impact on our program and are an inspiration to our current players."
Pullin will compete with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cameron will suit up for the Portland Trail Blazers and Olbrich will represent the Golden State Warriors. The trio gives UC Riverside a strong presence across NBA Summer League action, further highlighting the program's continued ability to develop players for the professional ranks.
"We are incredibly proud to see our former UC Riverside Men's Basketball student-athletes in the NBA Summer League," said Director of Athletics Greg Paules. "It's a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes, coaches, and everyone who has helped build our program. I've always enjoyed following Summer League, going back to its days in Long Beach to what it has become in Las Vegas. It's especially rewarding to watch former UCR players chasing their professional basketball dreams on one of the game's biggest stages."
The group helped define one of the most successful eras in UC Riverside's Division I history, including the Highlanders' record-setting 2022–23 season. That year, UCR finished 21-11 during the regular season, earned the No. 3 seed in the Big West Championship and collected several major conference honors.
Pullin was named First Team All-Big West in 2022–23 after joining the program's 1,000-point club. The Pleasant Hill, Calif., native finished his UCR career with 1,369 points and remains one of the most decorated guards in program history.
Cameron earned Second Team All-Big West honors during the same season, averaging 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. The Gold Coast, Australia native also became the seventh Division I Highlander to record 100 assists in a season and has continued to build his professional profile internationally.
Olbrich made an immediate impact in Riverside, earning Big West Freshman of the Year and All-Big West Honorable Mention honors in 2022–23. The Adelaide, Australia native averaged 11.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists during his season with the Highlanders before beginning his professional career overseas.
UC Riverside fans can follow Pullin, Cameron and Olbrich throughout NBA Summer League action as the three former Highlanders continue to compete on the national stage.
