Highlanders primed and ready for another competitive season
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside has released its full 29-match schedule for 2026 under second-year head coach Branden Higa.
UCR will play nine matches inside the SRC Arena following season-opening tournaments at Alabama, San Jose State, Northern Arizona, Utah Tech, and Southern Utah. The Highlanders will appear on ESPN+ over 15 times this season, including all home matches plus non-conference matches at Samford, Utah Tech, and Southern Utah.
The Highlanders open the season at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa against Samford and host Alabama before returning to the West Coast to face Pacific, New Orleans, and Portland.
UCR then travels to the Grand Canyon State at the Lumberjack Classic against Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon, and Omaha, before making its final tournament stop in Utah against Chicago State, Utah Tech, and Southern Utah over two tournaments.
Big West play begins with consecutive road matches against Big West newcomers in Utah Valley (September 24) and Sacramento State (September 26). UCR opens the home schedule on October 2 against UC Irvine before welcoming UC San Diego to the SRC Arena the following day.
The Crosstown Showdown against California Baptist, now officially a conference matchup, will take place October 23 at the SRC Arena and October 24 at CBU. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
