Alexa Banos joined the UC Riverside Sports Medicine staff in February 2026.
Banos comes to UCR from the University of Redlands, where she worked primarily with football, men`s water polo, women`s volleyball, and baseball. She also spent time as an athletic training intern at UCLA with track & field and cross country, as well as the MLB Youth Academy in Compton.
She received her bachelor`s degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science from Long Beach State in 2022 and continued pursuing her master's degree in Athletic Training from CSULB in 2024. Banos became a NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer in June 2024.
