Tyler Cunningham Named Big West Offensive Player Of The Week

Irvine, CA—The Big West announced yesterday that UC Riverside forward Tyler Cunningham is the conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from October 27 through November 3. College Sports Madness followed suit today naming the sophomore the overall conference player of the week.

The Fairfield, CA native is the second member of the Highlanders to win one of the conference's weekly awards this season, joining Elizabeth Silas who was named defensive player of the week on October 7 (Read The Story).
Cunningham scored both goals in UC Riverside's 2-1 victory over Long Beach State on Sunday, November 3 clinching the number three seed in the Big West Conference Tournament for the Highlanders in the process (Box Score/Recap). The last time UCR appeared in the conference tournament was in 2005.
Cunningham now leads the team in goals scored this season with four, and is tied for the team lead in points with eight.
