Gazzolo Ties For 5th As Men's Golf Finishes Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Tied For 19th

Palm Desert—The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team concluded the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon in a tie for 19th place out of 23 squads with a total three-round score of 889. Final Results. Day 1 Story. Day 2 Story.
The Highlanders fired rounds of 300-293-296 and tied with Wyoming, while finishing three strokes ahead of Southern Utah. UCR was also 10 shots out of a tie for 15th place.
Oregon won the team competition by three strokes over Colorado, 837 to 840.
Texas Christian University's Julien Brun repeated as individual champion, shooting a 13-under-par 203.
UCR's David Gazzolo tied for fifth overall out of 128 golfers with a six-under-par 210 (70-70-70).
Pachara Sakulyong (77-74-76) and Brandon Tsujimoto (76-80-71) tied for 93rd with identical rounds of 227, while Leven Simon Seay tied for 112th (77-75-79) and Jason Semthiti tied for 120th (82-74-81).
UC Riverside now prepares for the Fresno State Lexus Classic March 10-11 in Fresno, CA.
