College Soccer News Names Michael Salazar To National Team Of The Week

Riverside, CA—College Soccer News announced today that UC Riverside forward Michael Salazar is part of the 12-player College Soccer News Team of the Week for matches played from August 25-31.
On Friday, August 29, the junior became the first member of the Highlanders during the program's Division I-era to score three goals in a single match when he connected three times in UC Riverside's season-opener against Pacific (box score/recap/video recap). Salazar added an assist for a total of seven points on the night to establish another program, Division I-era benchmark.
Earlier this week, the Big West named Salazar the conference's Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week (story) and College Sports Madness named him the Madness Big West Men's Soccer Player of the Week (story).
