Highlanders Begin December With 5:00 PM Tip Against San Diego State Friday

Game Notes - UCR vs. SDSU

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team hosts San Diego State on Friday evening to open the month of December. Last season, the Highlanders lost at the buzzer to the Aztecs and will look to even their series record at 6-6 after Friday’s game.

The Aztecs are the third UCR opponent this season to enter the game either ranked or receiving votes in the USA Today and AP national polls. SDSU (RV/RV) is also the second of four straight opponents the Highlanders will face who are receiving national mention (Oklahoma State: RV/RV; Kansas: 24/RV).

UC Riverside has three players averaging double-figure scoring led by identical 13.0 ppg from Rhaya Neabors and Marissa Rivera. Alyssa Morris (pictured) completes the trio with 11.8 ppg and a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game.
