The teams have met on four previous occasions with the Highlanders owning a 3-1 edge in the series. The last meeting between the clubs came in an 83-71 UCR win on December 22, 2003.
After starting the season by winning their first six games, the Gaels dropped two straight against BYU and San Diego State before bouncing back with a 77-47 win over Denver on December 8. Four members of the team are scoring in double digits led by Rob Jones’ 13.9 points.

Phil Martin is still the Highlanders leading scorer averaging 16.0 points per game, but Javon Borum recently boosted his scoring output into double figures and is now averaging 11.3 points per game.
