Highlanders 'Pack The House' Against UC Santa Barbara Saturday

Game Notes - UC Riverside vs. UC Santa Barbara
The UC Riverside women’s basketball team moved above .500 improving to 8-7 overall and 2-1 in league play after a 64-53 victory over Cal State Northridge on Thursday. The Highlanders now face UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, January 15 at 5 pm at the Student Rec Center.
Fans who are unable to attend the game may follow all of the action as the Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, brings the call from courtside to gohighlanders.com. Fans may also follow the game via LiveStats.
The Gauchos enter the game with a 9-7 overall record including a 3-1 mark in conference play. Emilie Johnson paces UCSB in scoring averaging 12.8 points per game, while three other players average just under 10 points a game.
Four Highlanders average upwards of nine points per game, led by Alyssa Morris’ 11.8.
UC Santa Barbara owns the series record against UCR 16-20, but the Highlanders have won the last two contests between these teams, including a 60-54 overtime victory on Feb. 11, 2010.
