Championship Rematch: Highlanders Take On UC Davis Thursday At 7 PM

Game Notes - UC Riverside vs. UC Davis
The UC Riverside women’s basketball team hosts UC Davis on Thursday, January 27 at the Student Recreation at 7 pm in what will be the first game between these teams since the Highlanders defeated the Aggies in the 2010 Big West Tournament championship game last March.
Fans who are unable to attend the game may follow all of the action as the Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, brings the call from courtside to gohighlanders.com. Fans may also follow the game via LiveStats.
The Highlanders enter the game having won four of five contests, the lone loss coming at league-leading Cal Poly on Jan. 19. Three players are averaging double-digit scoring (Alyssa Morris, 12.8; Tre’Shonti Nottingham, 11.8; and Brittany Waddell, 10.3).
The Aggies have the league’s best overall record at 14-4, and are tied for second in the conference standings. Like UCR, three UC Davis players average double figures led by Paige Mintun’s 13.8 points per game.
As a team, UC Davis is scoring 69.5 points per game and holding opponents to 58.4 ppg, while the Highlanders average 61.6 points and give up 61.4.
