Cross Country Hosts 2011 Big West Conference Championships On Saturday

For the fouth time in as many years, and for the seventh time since the Highlanders joined the Big West Conference in 2001, UC Riverside's Ag/Ops Course will play host to the Big West Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 29.
The men's 8k race starts at 8:45 am with the women's 6k race beginning at 9:30 am. An awards ceremony will begin shortly following the conclusion of the women's race.
The Highlanders men's team is looking for its first conference championship in 2011 as the team finished in second place a year ago and has been in the top four the three years prior.
The UCR women's team is looking to win its second conference title as the Highlanders won the 2008 championship but finished 5th in 2009 and 4th in 2010.
Tickets are just $5 for fans ages six and above with ages five and below free. For more information please visit the Big West Cross Country Championship webpage.
