UCR Hosts CSU Bakersfield In Home Opener Saturday At 2 PM

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team hosts CSU Bakersfield in the team’s home opener on Saturday, November 19 for a 2:00 pm tip at the Student Recreation Center.
The Highlanders are looking for their first win of the season as they come into Saturday’s game with an 0-3 record. Three players carry the majority of the scoring load for UCR with Tre’Shonti Nottingham pacing the team offensively with 13.0 ppg. Natasha Hadley is averaging 9.7 points per game, while Jessica Ogunnorin is scoring 8.3 ppg and a team-high 7.3 rebounds a game.
CSU Bakersfield is 2-1 on the young season with wins over Southern Oregon and fellow Big West opponent UC Irvine. The Runners are averaging 100.7 points per game with six players averaging double-digit scoring.
UC Riverside owns a 3-1 series mark against the Roadrunners including the most recent match-up, an 82-71 victory on January 22, 2011.
