Women's Basketball Heads To Cal State Northridge Thursday

The UC Riverside women’s basketball team has reached the midway point in Big West Conference play as they travel to Cal State Northridge on Thursday for the teams' second meeting of 2011.
Fans who are unable to attend the game may follow all of the action as the Voice of the Highlanders, Ghizal Hasan, brings the call from courtside to gohighlanders.com. Fans may also follow the game via LiveStats.
The Highlanders defeated the Matadors 64-53 in their January 13 meeting and have won each of the last eight contests against CSUN.
Northridge enters Thursday’s game with a 1-20 record with their lone win coming in a 74-68 overtime victory at Pacific on December 31. Jasmine Erving paces the Matadors with 14.1 points per game and 7.0 rebounds a game.
The Highlanders are coming off of a tough 62-59 loss to Pacific on January 29 after previously defeating defending Big West regular season champions UC Davis 72-50 on January 27.
UC Riverside’s offensive attack is led by Alyssa Morris and Tre’Shonti Nottingham, who both average 12.7 points per game.
The Highlanders play six of their last nine regular season games on the road.
