Riverside, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team is looking to win two in a row Thursday as the Utah State Aggies travel to the Inland Empire for a 2 pm PT start.
The Highlanders picked up their first win of the 2012-13 season with a 79-71 victory at Pepperdine on Monday (box score/recap). Tre'Shonti Nottingham paced the squad offensively with a career-high 29 points, while freshman Brittany Crain added a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Dynese Adams chipped in 14 points.
Utah State is 0-1 entering Thursday's game, having dropped a 78-62 decision at Utah Valley on November 12. Devyn Christensen and Jenna Johnson both scored in double-figures to lead the Aggies.
The Highlanders traveled to Utah State a year ago, with UC Riverside rallying back from a 14-point second-half deficit to take a lead late in the game, but a three-pointer by the Aggies with three seconds remaining sealed the win as the Highlanders fell 71-68 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum (box score/recap).
The all-time series record between these squads is tied at 3-3 (view results).
