Non-Conference Play Comes To An End For Women's Basketball Vs. UNLV Saturday At 5 PM

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Team concludes the non-conference portion of its schedule on Saturday, December 29 as UNLV comes calling for a 5 pm PT tip at the SRC Arena. The game is part of a doubleheader with the UCR Men’s Basketball Team, as fans who attend the 1 pm men’s game can buy women’s tickets for half off.

The Highlanders returned from their two-game road trip with a 1-1 record, defeating Louisiana, 55-37, on Dec. 17 (box score/recap) before falling to #18 Oklahoma, 70-46, on Dec. 20 (box score/recap). Tre’Shonti Nottingham continues to pace the squad averaging 21.4 points per game.

UNLV hosted the World Vision Classic on December 19-21, going 1-2 in its three games. Kelli Thompson leads the Rebels offensively averaging 17.1 points per game, while Alana Cesarz is closely behind at 15.9 points per game.
