Riverside—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Program celebrates senior day on Saturday, March 2 in the 2012-13 home finale honoring Leah Washington and Tre’Shonti Nottingham in a 1 pm PT tip against UC Santa Barbara.
The Highlanders are in a must-win situation as they’ve dropped to tenth in the Big West standings, and only eight teams advance to postseason play. Jamilla Williams scored a career-high 21 points in UCR’s loss to Cal Poly on Thursday (box score/recap), as the Highlanders were without the services of leading-scorer Nottingham due to an injury.
UC Riverside defeated UC Santa Barbara in its previous meeting this season, 45-42 (box score/recap), but since then, the Gauchos have gone 4-3 and currently sit in fourth place in the league standings.
