Women's Basketball Prepares For Thursday Home Tilt Against UC Davis At 7 PM

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team returns for a two-game stretch at the SRC Arena this week hosting UC Davis on Thursday, January 16 at 7 pm PT and Hawai'i on Saturday, January 18 at 5 pm. Saturday's game against the Rainbow Wahine will also be televised live on ESPN3.
The Highlanders are in search of their first Big West Conference victory of season having dropped an 82-78 decision to Cal State Fullerton last Thursday (box score/recap), and a 90-78 loss at UC Irvine on Saturday (box score/recap).
Brittany Crain continues to pace the UC Riverside offense averaging a league-best 19.6 points per game on 50.8 percent shooting. Annelise Ito has been the Highlanders second-leading scorer in two Big West games this season, as the sophomore guard currently averages 20.0 ppg in conference action.
UC Davis enters Thursday's game with a 6-9 overall mark and a 1-1 record in league play. The Aggies dropped their conference opener to Cal State Northridge, 56-52, before rebounding for a 63-60 win over Long Beach State.
Sydnee Fipps leads the UCD offense scoring 17.3 points per game, while Kelsey Harris and Alyson Doherty average 11.7 and 10.6 ppg respectively.
The Aggies are 26-21 all-time against UCR including winning the last five (view all-time results).
