Riverside—Big West Conference play gets underway this week for the UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team starting with a Thursday, January 9 meeting against Cal State Fullerton at 7 pm PT at the SRC Arena.

The Highlanders are looking to snap a six-game losing skid, and hope to win their first league game in nine tries dating back to the end of last season. UCR also seeks to win its first league contest at home since February 2, 2012.

UC Riverside's leading scorer, Brittany Crain, missed the two most recent games due to injury. She is averaging 18.9 points to lead the team, while Natasha Hadley, Annelise Ito, and Simone DeCoud all average between 10.5 and 11.9 points per game.

Cal State Fullerton struggled early on in the season, winning just one of its first nine matchups, but enters Thursday's contest having won three of its last four games. The Titans have two players averaging double-figure scoring led by Chante Miles' 15.0 ppg.

The Highlanders own the all-time series record against CSF, 23-18 (view all-time results), including winning its most recent contest, 64-45, on February 9, 2013 (box score/recap).
