UC Riverside Championship Banners Raised In Johnson Family Practice Center

Riverside—The UC Riverside Athletics Department renovated the Johnson Family Practice Center two years ago, providing the Highlanders Men's and Women's Basketball Teams and Volleyball Team with a much-needed upgrade to what serves as their primary athletics classroom.
This week, the final touches were put on the project, as newly-created championship banners, representing the storied individual and team accomplishments of all three programs, were hoisted to the rafters.
"Hanging these championship banners is the final piece to the Johnson Family Practice Center puzzle," said Director of Athletics Jim Wooldridge.
"We have such a rich tradition of athletics success here at UC Riverside, from AIAW and NCAA Tournament appearances and National Championships, to our more recent Big West Conference titles, and we wanted to honor the student-athletes, coaches and support staff whose efforts went into those accomplishments in a manner befitting a world-class university. With the help of Phil Quattrocchi and the creative team at Quattro Graphics, we believe we have achieved that goal.
"I hope that all of the former Highlanders who had a hand in creating the memories associated with those banners will take the opportunity to come back and visit with us over the coming years, as we continue to celebrate UC Riverside's Athletics history."
