Riverside, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team looks to move back over the .500 mark this week as the Highlanders host Loyola Marymount on Tuesday, December 1, at 7 pm PT, before heading north to face San Francisco on Friday, December 4, at 6 pm.
UCR evened its record at 3-3 Saturday, snapping a three-game skid with an 85-67 win over Southeast Missouri State (

recap). Brittany Crain led four players in double figures scoring a season-high 28 points, and adding 11 rebounds. The team split the two games at the UTEP Thanksgiving Classic, for a third place finish, and Crain was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
Rejane Verin just missed out on a triple-double with 24 points, seven boards, and eight assists in the win, while Clemence Lefebrve scored a season-high 12 points, and Annelise Ito had 10, to go with eight rebounds and five assists.
UCR's now ranks 19
th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage, thanks to a 10 for 20 performance against the Redhawks.
Loyola Marymount (2-4) earned its second win of the season Sunday, with a 95-50 victory over Big West conference member UC Irvine.
The Lions shot 51.5% from the field in producing their highest offensive output of the year. They outrebounded UC Irvine 55-36, and held them to 23.9% shooting from the field.
Sophie Taylor leads the Lions in scoring and rebounding with 16.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Cheyanne Wallace averages 13.6 points a game, while Bree Alford helps to control the glass with 8.0 points and 8.3 boards per contest.
The Highlanders are 7-3 versus Loyola Marymount, and won last year's December 13 meeting, 81-55. In that game, UCR set a new school record for made three pointers in a game, with 15. (

San Francisco (4-2) won 95-94 at Sacramento State Saturday, and plays at Nevada Tuesday, before returning home to face the Highlanders on Friday night.
Taylor Proctor is ninth in the nation in scoring at 23.7 per game, and leads three Dons averaging double figures this season. She is joined by Rachel Howard (13.8) and Zhane Dikes (12.8).
San Francisco is outscoring their opponents by 10.8 points, and outrebounding them by 9.5 a game.
UCR is 2-1 all time against San Francisco, and won last year's November 22 match-up 66-53. (
