Michael Salazar Invited To 2016 adidas MLS Player Combine

Fort Lauderdale, FL—Major League Soccer announced today that UC Riverside's Michael Salazar has been invited to the 2016 adidas MLS Player Combine from January 7-12 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Salazar joins 58 other NCAA Division I college players who will showcase their talents in front of representative from all 20 MLS clubs.
All invited players are eligible for selection in the 2016 SuperDraft presented by adidas that takes places on Thursday, January 14 in Baltimore, Maryland.
A committee of MLS coaches and NCAA Division I coaches from every conference selected the invitees, all of whom completed their college eligibility this season. Additional invitees, including Generation adidas signings, non-collegiate players, and more college seniors, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Salazar was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Far West Region Third Team (story), and also earned All-Big West First Team accolades this season (story).
He had six goals, and three assists for 15 points during his 2015 campaign, and finished his two-year UC Riverside career with 12 goals, four assists and 28 points. Three of his career scores were game winners.
The Highlanders have had at least one player taken in either the MLS Super Draft or MLS Supplemental Draft in each of the past four years (view list of all-time MLS draft picks).
