Seattle, WA—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team (5-6) looks to get to back to .500 on the season, as it completes it's visit to the Pacific Northwest with a game against Seattle University on Monday, December 21, at 6:00 pm PT.

UCR is playing in its third and final game of the road trip. Tuesday they were defeated at Oregon, 95-81, and then suffered the worst loss of the season at Washington on Friday, 78-43.

Against the Huskies, the Highlanders were led by their two Big West Player of the Week honorees, guard Brittany Crain, and forward Rejane Verin.

Crain scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, and picked up two steals. She leads the Big West in scoring at 18.3 points per game, and ranks 35th nationally with 29 made threes on the season.

Rejane Verin scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while senior Annelise Ito nearly missed out on her second double-double the season, with nine points and nine rebounds.

As a team UCR ranks 10th in the nation in assists per game (18.5) and 36th in three point field goal percentage (36.9).

Seattle University (5-6) is a member of the WAC (Western Athletic Conference), and is also coming off a loss, as they were defeated, 88-64, at home against Boise State on Saturday.

Taelor Ross' 25 points, six rebounds, and five steals led the Redhawks. Ross leads the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game.

Ashlynn Lewis is their leading rebounder at 7.5 a game and second in scoring at 11.5 a game. Kaylee Best, who had 16 points against the Broncos, is third on the squad in scoring at 10.8 per contest.

The Highlanders are 1-1 all-time against Seattle University (view results), and lost the most recent match-up in 2012, 64-42, in Seattle.
