Riverside—The UC Riverside Baseball Team remains at home this weekend with a three-game series against North Dakota beginning Friday, March 13 with a 6 pm PT first pitch at The Plex.

After opening the season with a four-game sweep of Portland, the Highlanders have gone 3-10 over their last 13 games. They have struggled at the plate posting a slash line of .237/.308/.318 during that stretch. UC Riverside has also had some defensive hiccups over the last baker's dozen, committing 28 errors which have led to 23 unearned runs.

Angel Landazuri (1-2, 1.75) gets the starting nod Friday. Opponents are hitting just .211 against him, but the Highlanders offense has been shut out in each of his last two starts. Keaton Leach (1-1, 2.66) takes the mound on Saturday evening, while Kevin Sprague (1-3, 4.97) goes on Sunday afternoon.

North Dakota enters the weekend with a 2-10 record and victories over Washington and Omaha. This Friday's game marks the first of 11 straight on the road for UND.

North Dakota has two players batting .400 or better in Jeff Campbell (.436/.452/.564) and Tyler Follis (.400/.523/.571). Follis has a 26-game hitting streak dating back to last season. The rest of the team's regulars, however, are all hitting .250 or below, including five players with 20 or more at bats hitting .167 or less and three with batting averages below .100.

The team ERA is 7.33, and opponents are hitting .341 off of UND, while averaging more than four extra base hits per game.

This is the first-ever meeting between UC Riverside and North Dakota.
