Riverside—The UC Riverside Track & Field Teams take part in three different meets this weekend—The Mt. SAC Relays, The Beach Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational.
In the Women's Hammer Throw Thursday at the Bryan Clay, Vesta Bell took sixth place with a top mark of 53.68m (176' 1"), while Rachel Tice came in 23rd at 44.09m (144' 8").
Uchenna Oniah came in 11th in the Men's Hammer Throw with a top mark of 54.36m (178' 4"), followed by Manuel Cisneros in 32nd (33.63m, 110' 4").
Friday's events at Mt. SAC get underway at 10 am with the Men's 100m Hurdles, the Men's Hammer Throw, the Women's Hammer Throw and the Women's Pole Vault. The final event of the day is at 11:09 pm with the final heat of the Women's 5,000m.
A handful of Elite events are scheduled for Saturday sprinkled throughout the High School competition which dominates the final day of the Relays.
The Bryan Clay continues Friday beginning at 7:30 am with the Men's 5,000m. Field events get underway at 8 am with the Women's Long Jump. The final event of the day is the third heat of the Women's 5,000m which starts at 10:45 pm.
