San Diego, CA—The UC Riverside Track & Field Teams travel to UC San Diego this weekend for the Triton Invitational in one of their last few attempts to make or better their conference qualifying marks before the Big West Championships on May 8-9 and 15-16.
Friday's events got underway with the Women's Hammer (Invitational) at 10 am. Also slated for Fridtay are the Women's Pole Vault at 1 pm, the Women's Discus (Invitational) at 2 pm, and the Women's Discus (Open Section) and Men's Pole Vault at 4 pm.
Saturday's field events begin with the Men's Hammer (Invitational) at 10 am, and conclude with the Men's Shot Put (Invitational) at 5 pm. The Jumping events commence at 11 am with the Women's Pole Vault and the Men's Long Jump, and finish with the Women's Triple Jump at 5 pm
Track events begin Saturday at 11 am with the Women's 4x400m Relay and finish at 7:10 pm with the Men's 5,000m.
