Riverside—UC Riverside finally had a chance to show off its refurbished track and field stadium to the rest of the conference this weekend when the school hosted its first Big West championships.

Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge celebrated men's and women's team titles, respectively, on Saturday, but the home team had its moments as well.

"I felt a responsibility to win this meet," UCR hurdler Michael Koger said. "Especially on our home track, being my last year."
