
Men's Golf Completes Fall Season At Stockton Invitational Thursday

Stockton, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team prepares to play its final event of the 2016 fall season slate traveling to the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational October 27-29 at Stockton Country Club.
In the team's previous event—the Bill Cullum Invite—the Highlanders finished 15th led by Matt Lutz (T15) at -3 for the tournament (story).
Last season in the Pacific-hosted tournament, UCR finished seventh out of 16 teams. Lutz was the team's top finisher in third place in what was the first event at the helm for 2016 Big West Coach of the Year Rick Todd (story).
The three-day tournament begins with a shotgun start Thursday at 8:30 am, with teams playing 18 holes each day.
Lutz, Luke Park, Pachara Sakulyong, Andrew Spilman, and Michael Wong will compete this week for the blue and gold.
The 13-team field is comprised of Boise State, BYU, Cal State Fullerton*, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN*, Denver, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State*, Pacific, Sacramento State, Seattle U, Temple, UC Riverside*.

Stockton Golf and Country Club will be played at 6516 yards, and par 71 with just one par 5 on the front nine.

Many prestigious golfers have also been hosted over the years including Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Doug Sanders, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Johnny Miller. In addition, the club is proud to be known as the home course for Ricky Barnes, 2002 US Amateur Champion."
