Men’s Golf Heads to Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, Calif. - It has been a month since the Men's Golf team took out their clubs and competed in a tournament. They last played in Phoenix at the GCU Invitational on the GCU Championship Golf Course. The Highlanders will hop on the 405 to Santa Barbara in hopes to better prepare for the Big West tournament.

The team finished with an overall score of 878 (+26) after shooting a combined 295 in the first round, 303 in the second round and 280 in the final round. Sophomore Sam He (+1) found the most success over the two days. He shot a 5-under 66 in the final round and even eagled the ninth hole to finish tied for 30th overall.

The Highlanders will aim to shake off the rust and play at Sandpiper before the Big West tournament in two weeks. Live stats of the tournament can be found here.
