Women’s Golf Finish Fifth at Cowgirl

MARICOPA, Ariz. – The UC Riverside's Women's Golf team finished fifth in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The team shot a collective 888 over the three rounds for a score of +24. That score finished five shots off the lead.

Senior Jakeishya Le was the highest finishing Highlander as she finished tied for 11^th shooting +4 (220) on the tournament. The senior shot a steady +2 (74) in the final round on the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes course.

Sophomore Ping Huang jumped 22 spots in the standings in the third round after she shot +1 (73). Huang finished the tournament +10 (226) which put her finished at tied for 32^nd.

Senior Hana Furuichi didn't have the third round she might have liked but still finished in the top half of the field finishing at +9 (225) which was good for tied for 27^th. Par 5's were good to the senior as she finished in third place in individual scoring on the longer holes.

The Highlanders finished with the fourth-best par 5 scoring as a team and finished with the third most pars in the tournament.

This was the team's final tournament as they prepped for the Big West tournament next week. The
