UC Riverside came out of the gate hot, holding the Aggies to just .167 hitting while recording a .351 clip of their own in a 25-14 first frame. The Highlanders recorded 16 kills from seven different players, led by four from Isabella Scarlett. Scarlett finished her night with 12 kills on a .579 hitting percentage.
UCR was not short on effort on Tuesday, playing the next three sets as close to the chest as possible in a repeat performance from Saturday's five-set thriller against Cal State Fullerton. Coco Ikpe earned the start and played a full match for the second consecutive night, recording five kills against the Aggies with a dig.
The Highlanders will finish their four-match home stand on Thursday, October 27 at 5:00 p.m. against Hawaii.
