FULLERTON, Calif. -  The University of California, Riverside (UCR) Highlanders traveled to nearby California State University Fullerton (CSUF) for a midweek Big West bout. 

A pair of early goals from the Titans were too much for the Highlanders to overcome, and ultimately CSUF took a decisive 4-1 victory. 

In just the 4', a penalty kick was awarded to the Titans which they successfully converted into a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later, in the 6' the Titans extended their lead 2-0. 

Leyna Wood answered back immediately in the 7', scoring what would be the Highlanders' lone goal off of assists from Kelsey Musolf and Mckenzie Moore. 

The Titans weren't done yet, adding a pair of insurance goals in the 26' and 43', securing the win 4-1 win.

The Highlanders travel next to Bakersfield to face the Roadrunners of California State University Bakersfield on October 9 at 5pm.
