LAS VEGAS -
UC Riverside erased a six-point deficit with three minutes left and grabbed its second quality win in as many days on Tuesday night at the Dollar Loan Center, defeating Wright State 70-65.

Game two of the Vegas 4 in Henderson was as evenly matched as you could get, but two late threes from Flynn Cameron and an 11-0 run to end the game helped cap off a night that tested a new UCR squad's resilience.

"We have a growth mindset right now," Highlanders head coach Mike Magpayo said. "I think there's still plenty of room to grow, but I always believe in our guys' heart and fight. This experience is what we wanted. We wanted to play this type of competition and experience tense moments in the Dollar Loan Center. Our guys showed exceptional poise down the stretch and made some big plays."

UCR jumped out to a quick 13-3 run after going down 4-0, starting 7 of 8 from the floor at the first media break with Cameron accounting for six of UCR's first 17 points. The Kiwi, who notched career point number 600 and career rebound number 300 a night prior against Weber State, went 2 of 3 against the Raiders from both the field and the perimeter to start before finishing with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

Wright State closed the gap midway through the half, but UCR carried a 6-0 run to the under-eight media break to create separation once more. The Raiders pulled ahead for the first time with a 13-3 run, but Zyon Pullin and Jamal Hartwell II went back to back from deep to cut the game to one with just under two minutes until halftime.

UC Riverside ended the first half on an 11-0 run, going 4 of 5 from the floor into the break while denying the Raiders on their final five attempts from the field. Tuesday night's matchup featured seven ties and seven lead changes overall between a pair of equally-matched teams.

The Highlanders were neck and neck with Wright State from the opening inbound in the second half. Kyle Owens put up his first double double in blue and gold with 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Cameron and Pullin each scored 10 of their points in the second half. Owens' 13 rebounds were the most by a Highlander this season.

Both teams got hot offensively down the stretch, but UCR showed more grit in the final minutes.

With the Highlanders trailing 65-61 at the 2:14 mark, Pullin knocked down a jumper before Cameron connected on a pair of clutch threes that put UCR ahead for good. The Kiwi sealed it at the line with his 17th and 18th points of the night in addition to a free throw from Hartwell II, who scored six of his nine points in the second half.

UC Riverside has a quick turnaround for its finale in Vegas, closing out the Vegas 4 on Wednesday, November 23 against Abilene Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Baller TV.
