RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside hosted Boston University on Wednesday morning at the SRC Tennis Courts, pulling out a gritty 4-3 win before an afternoon 6-1 defeat Utah State. 

Antreas Djakouris went 2-0 on the morning, but not without some adversity. The junior teamed up with Ryan Huynh for UCR's lone doubles win on the day and conceded his second set on two before a 6-4 third set sealed his fourth straight match unbeaten. 

Daniel Velek also needed a decisive third set for his win on set three while Joshua Roth and Matthew Yanuck each picked up straight set wins on four and six, respectively. 

UCR's afternoon match against Utah State was not how the Highlanders pictured it, despite Yanuck picking up his second singles win of the day in another straight set decision on six. Djakouris and Hyunh also teamed up on doubles once more, being up 4-3 before abandonment. 

UC Riverside is back in action on Tuesday, March 14, hosting Navy at the SRC Tennis Courts for a 10:00 a.m. first serve.
