Jordan Webster Earns Back to Back Player of the Week Honors

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Jordan Webster, in the midst of a week of achievements after scoring her 1,000th career point on Thursday, was announced as the Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second week in a row.

Webster earned her second career weekly honor in as many weeks, as she became the 20th member of UC Riverside's 1,000-point club on Thursday's game against Cal State Bakersfield with an and-one down low that gave UCR a 46-39 lead in the third quarter. The senior finished with a new career high of 31 points and is the first Highlander since Jannon Otto in 2018-19 to record 30 points in a game.

Webster stayed hot through the weekend, notching her 27th double digit scoring performance in her last 28 games, pouring in 27 points against the Matadors. Across the week she shot 56.3% from the field contributing to a pair of wins for her team while averaging 29.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. Webster now leads The Big West in scoring average with 18.6 points per game.
