STOCKTON, Calif. – UC Riverside teed off on its penultimate fall tournament on Monday afternoon with round one of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at the Reserve at Spanos Park.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• True freshman Von Wasson was 2-under on both the front and back nine for the day and is the Highlanders' leader in the clubhouse after 18 holes, tying for 11th.  
• Hartej Grewal is UCR's second top 35 golfer with a 71 (E) in round one after firing birdies on 16 and two.  
• Chanhee Ryu was 1-under for his first five holes and finished his round with a birdie on nine. 

NOTABLES 

• Stephen Luo enjoyed a strong, consistent start with pars on holes 11 through 16.  
• Wasson fired his first career sub-70 round to pace UCR on day one in Stockton.
