FRESNO, Calif. — The Highlanders placed ninth at The Watney, finishing with a three-round total of 878 at San Joaquin Country Club.
The Highlanders opened the tournament with a 289 in the first round, followed by a 291 in the second round before closing with a 298 in the final round of the 54-hole event.
Jacob Vazquez led UC Riverside, tying for 11th overall at 2-over 215. Vazquez highlighted his tournament with a second-round 67, the lowest round by a Highlander during the event.
Chanhee Ryu finished tied for 18th at 5-over 218, while Stephen Luo tied for 40th at 10-over 223. Samuel Bonzoumet followed in a tie for 48th at 11-over 224, and Caden Breisch rounded out the Highlanders' lineup in a tie for 65th at 18-over 231.
Nevada captured the team title at 852, finishing ahead of Pacific and UC San Diego in the 14-team field.
The Highlanders will compete in the two round Seattle U Redhawk Invitational beginning Monday, March 30th.
