STOCKTON, Calif. – UC Riverside finished a complete performance at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Wednesday afternoon at the Stockton Golf & Country Club.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• True freshman Von Wasson delivered an emphatic finish to an already impressive performance, closing out the tournament with a 69 (-2) to finish tied for fifth.  
• Wasson fired a 3-under 33 on the back nine, carding five of his six birdies before the turn.  
• Hartej Grewal also posted his third round at or under par of the tournament with a 69 (-2) of his own.  
• Chanhee Ryu was the third Highlander to dip below 70 on Wednesday with a 69 (-2), firing birdies on three, 14 and 16.  
• UCR was a combined 2-under on the back nine and 1-over on the front nine.  

NOTABLES 

• Wasson's 69-67-69 is the fourth-lowest 54-hole score in program history. He is the first top five finisher at a Highlander event since Andrew Spillman won the 2019 UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate.  
• Four of five Highlanders in the lineup shot at or under par on Wednesday.  
• Wasson is also the second Highlander to shoot 8-under at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational since 2022-23 (Josh Hu).
