KAPOLEI, Hawai'i - UC Riverside completed the first 18 holes of the Kapolei Invitational on Tuesday at Kapolei Golf Club.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• True freshman Hartej Grewal leads the Highlanders after a round with a 70 (-2) in round one. Grewal recorded back-to-back-to-back birdies on 10, 11 and 12.  
• Stephen Luo is tied for 65th and is the next leading Highlander after shooting a 77 (+5).  
• Von Wasson birdied one and 14 and is tied for 73rd.  

NOTABLES 

• UCR's top three following the first round in Hawai'i are all true freshmen.  
• Three Highlanders birdied a par 5 hole twice on Tuesday, going 1-under on one and 14.
